It is true that Big Data is transforming business worldwide, as it helps businesses to make more informed and lucrative decisions, becoming the new 'oil' of business.
As of now, analyzing data is a tedious process and everything has to be done manually, especially data cleaning and data preparation. In my view, this process will be automated in the future. And in addition, more people will be introduced to the benefits of making data-driven decisions. Data analytics is a rapidly growing field with more and more people equipped with knowledge and access to get information out of the data. Nowadays, especially due to COVID 19, businesses across different functions are being forced to adapt more technology, increasing the data capabilities of the business.
The future will certainly see a rise in the integration of AI in data analysis, allowing faster response and yielding new “magic” seeming results such as self-driving, next level assistants, personalized ads in public, etc.
ABOUT ME
My Story
I grew up in Delhi, India, and moved across the pond to Pittsburgh in 2015 to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and majored in Finance. After graduating, I moved to NYC and joined Bira 91 to serve as a liaison between Data and other business functions, including but not limited to, Sales, Finance, and Marketing.
From NYC, I moved to Chicago in August 2019 to pursue my Masters of Science in Business Analytics where I spent my time taking courses like Data Mining using R, Statistical Modeling with R, Big Data Analytics with PySpark, Audit Analytics with R. As an Executive member of Graduate Student Council of UIC, I hosted the first Women's Day celebration called 'Women of UIC.'
I graduated with a Masters from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2020.
I joined Cepheid in August 2020 and have worked on various ML & Business projects, building a good command of data analysis tools, including SQL, Snowflake, Python, Looker, Visio, SAS Enterprise Mine, R, Gephi, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and Dell Boomi.
